Sport Activities

Ashton College offers a variety of sports to suit most students' tastes.

Cricket:

Our school cricket teams compete in leagues and our students have enjoyed much success on the field.

Netball:

Strong coaching and much exercise have taken us to league finals

Softball:

Competing in the Softball League is quite a challenge and our softball girls always give of their best and come out tops.

Cross Country:

For the ultra fit student.

Touch Rugby:

Touch rugby was introduced into the school in 2001 and has since seen us win the Men’s School League and come second in the Ladies School League.  We already have a number of players representing Gauteng Province.

Golf:

For those budding young executives, we compete in the School’s Golf League and have won various leagues over the years.

Athletics and Swimming:

Competing in Inter-House and Inter-School athletic and swimming events, we are proud to have won various Leagues.  We are also proud of the scholars who have been awarded provincial colors.

Equestrian:

Our horse-riders participate in the School Equestrian League and have brought home many trophies.  We look forward to maintaining this high standard.

Soccer:

Newly introduced with the focus on future development in this area.

Tennis:

With a private coach and league winners for a number of years, nothing is stopping us.
